In 1982 the first certification at TROX was carried out by KWU Erlangen based on QSP 4a and, in the following years, on KTA 1401 and DIN ISO 9001. Today, the NIS Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH conducts this certification on behalf of nuclear power plants.
Since 1994 TROX has been certified by the TÜV Rheinland according to ISO 9001 / EN 29001. In 2003 the upgrade to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 took place. This implied modifying our quality management manual as well as parts of the procedure instructions.
Safety-related components are subject to monitoring by the Forschungs- und Materialprüfungsanstalt für das Bauwesen FMPA (German government institute for research and construction material testing).
The department of Quality Systems at TROX is directly responsible to the Management Technology so that independence is assured.
The Quality Assurance departments are organised locally and responsible to the respective plant management. In production an operator’s self- inspection system has been introduced.
